Tochtlitzin

Tochtlitzin is a rugged, scaled-down rover built to validate TOM’s excavation and preprocessing technologies in real-world conditions. Designed to handle up to 9 kg of lunar regolith equivalent per cycle, it translates the lessons learned from Tochtli III into a more compact and durable platform for testing.

By focusing on mobility, excavation efficiency, and dust-resilient design, Tochtlitzin serves as TOM’s proving ground for modular excavation and processing systems. Its smaller scale allows rapid prototyping, field trials, and subsystem validation while retaining the same design philosophy that guides our larger platforms.

Tochtlitzin demonstrates TOM’s approach of iterative innovation — advancing from prototypes to scalable systems that will one day support sustained lunar operations.
